- Assist the Superintendent in overseeing all aspects of on-site construction activities, including scheduling, subcontractor coordination, and quality control.
- Monitor daily progress and productivity of subcontractors and trades to ensure work is completed according to project requirements and specifications.
- Conduct regular site inspections to identify and address safety hazards, quality deficiencies, and compliance issues.
- Assist in the coordination of material deliveries, equipment rentals, and site logistics to maintain an organized and efficient work environment.
- Support the implementation and enforcement of safety protocols and OSHA regulations to promote a safe working environment for all personnel on site.
- Assist with the resolution of on-site conflicts, delays, and issues that may arise during the construction process.
- Collaborate with project management team to communicate project status, updates, and potential risks.
- Prepare and maintain accurate daily reports, progress photographs, and documentation of site activities.
- Support the Superintendent in conducting meetings with subcontractors, suppliers, and project stakeholders as needed.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in the construction industry, with previous experience as an Assistant Superintendent or similar role preferred.
- Strong understanding of commercial and retail interior fitout construction processes, methods, and best practices.
- Knowledge of building codes, regulations, and safety standards related to commercial construction.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Proficiency in construction management software and tools (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam) is a plus.
- OSHA 30-hour certification or willingness to obtain is preferred.
