Job DescriptionCNC Mill Setup-Operator (Haas experience preferred) Vanderveer Industrial Plastics, a division of The Gund Company, in Placentia is seeking an experienced CNC Mill Setup-Operator (with Haas experience preferred) to join our 1 st Shift.
We manufacture close tolerance, precision machined plastic parts, which are sold to customers in a variety of industries. We are a growing company, who has been a leader in the plastics business for more than 60 years.
The successful candidate will have worked a minimum of 5 years in an ISO-9001:2015 or AS9100 certified facility, with 3,4 & 5-axis CNC Milling Machines with either metal or plastic materials (plastics experience a plus).
Job Purpose: Produces machined parts by setting up, and operating CNC mills; maintaining quality and safety standards; keeping records; maintaining equipment and supplies.
Job Duties:
Set-up CNC mills by installing and adjusting tools and attachments.
Verifies settings by measuring positions, first-run part, and sample work pieces.
Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
Maintains continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
Documents actions by completing production and quality logs. Knowledge and Experience Requirements:
Minimum 5 years of experience operating a CNC Mill (preferably Haas).
Must be able to set up milling machines.
Must be able to make minor corrections to programs / speeds / feeds / offsets.
Must be able to read drawings and written instructions.
Must be able to inspect / measure parts.
Good people skills and team player.
English proficiency.
Experience in an ISO-9001:2015 or AS9100 certified manufacturing facility.
Benefits: Full-time position. 1 st Shift (7:00am – 3:30pm). Compensation $25-26 per hour, based on experience.
