    Description


    Professional Search Group (PSG) is seeking a Senior Staff Accountant to join the growing team with a leading well established manufacturer in San Diego, CA.

    The ideal candidate will be responsible for timely and accurate preparation of financial accounting data in a variety of areas.

    It is essential that this candidate brings analytical and organizational skills in order to best support the accounting team.
    Responsibilities

    Review the Accounts Payable entries from invoices to vendor payments, including Concur employee travel reimbursements, and corporate credit card accounts.

    Ensure proper and timely accrual of sales tax where applicable.
    Prepare and file property tax.
    Prepare monthly expense accruals including R&D accruals.
    Prepare monthly journal entries and perform balance sheet reconciliations.
    Assist with the month-end close activities.
    Assist with providing schedules and documentation to support external/internal audits and respond to inquiries from auditors.
    Perform payroll processing.
    Experience with ERP system implementations.
    Assist with the development of internal processes and procedures to support company growth.
    Train and mentor accounting staff.
    Participate or lead special projects and support various accounting projects as requested
    Assist in preparation and distribution of financial statements
    Prepare financial statements and supporting schedules according to monthly close schedule
    Qualifications
    4 year Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Accounting, Economics, or Finance
    4+ years' accounting experience with a solid understanding of US GAAP
    Experience with multi-entities and intercompany transactions is required
    Large ERP is required for example NetSuite, SAP or Oracle
    Advanced in Microsoft Excel functions ( V or X LOOKUPs, Index/Match and pivot tables)
