    LHH is partnering with a rapidly growing national professional services firm located in downtown San Diego to hire a Staff Accountant. Our client prides themselves on fostering a fun and professional environment where inclusivity and collaboration are at the core of their culture. As they expand, they are seeking a dedicated Staff Accountant to join their team.

    Role Overview: As a Staff Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in our client's finance team, contributing to various accounting functions and supporting the overall financial health of the organization. This position offers a hybrid work model following a comprehensive training period, providing the flexibility to thrive in both remote and office settings.

    Responsibilities:

    • Maintain the general ledger and execute various accounting transactions with accuracy and efficiency.
    • Prepare monthly bank and credit card reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy and compliance.
    • Reconcile balance sheet accounts monthly, identifying and resolving discrepancies in a timely manner.
    • Post journal entries and perform monthly close duties to facilitate accurate financial reporting.
    • Generate and analyze various reports for management, providing insights to support strategic decision-making.
    • Audit monthly accounts receivable aging reports and billing statements to uphold financial integrity.
    • Assist in the annual preparation of the budget, collaborating with team members to forecast financial performance.
    • Conduct trend analysis to identify opportunities for process improvement and operational efficiency.
    • Maintain trust accounts and ledgers, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and internal policies.
    • Provide support during the year-end audit process and assist in the preparation of yearly tax filings.

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
    • Previous experience in accounting roles preferred.
    • Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
    • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
    • Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    Pay Details: $37.00 to $40.00 per hour
