    Job Location: Hazlet, New Jersey (Mon-Thursday On-Site / Friday Work-from-Home)

    Job Description

    The primary mission is to own and drive long-term growth, achieving budgeted sales objectives and goals. The Sales Account Manager manages wholesale accounts through a combination of showroom sales, traveling to meet customers, virtual meetings, financial analysis, product knowledge and communication with buying and planning teams. The Sales Account Manager will be responsible for understanding the account, building the business using a fact-based approach to position our products, programs, and promotions to help maximize sales and profits. The position reports to the Director of Sales and requires teamwork and relationship building both internally and externally.

    Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

    Human Relations: Should be outgoing and pleasant as well as persistent, yet tactful. Should be a good listener and able to convey concern, interest and thoughtfulness. Must be proactive and responsive.

    Analytical: Should be a fact-based decision maker and have a good analytical, problem-solving approach with ability to analyze customers individual needs. Strong understanding of financials.

    Conceptual: Must be imaginative and able to tailor programs to serve customers needs. Should be ingenious in developing ideas to make doing business with Artisan 34 convenient and preferable over the competition.

    Selling Skills: Must have strengths in solution-based selling, utilizing data (retail sales data, consumer insights, industry share data, etc.) to help gain sales and share with account. Must demonstrate past successes in national account sales and share examples of these best practices.

    Responsibilities and Duties

    Travel to NYC Showroom as needed for buyer meetings

    Ability to travel up to 20% domestically for regional travel south and Midwest states to meet with buyers

    Ability to successfully break new accounts

    Develop and maintain relationships with key buyers and assistant buyers for accounts managed

    Ability to analyze business trends and sales reports to identify opportunities

    Work with accounts in the showroom and/or virtually, present the collection, help build assortments that best represent the brand and the customer who shops the store.

    Ability to put together sales projections & stay on track through the year to ensure annual sales targets are met

    Partner with internal departments, i.e. product development, production, and design, to establish strong working relationships and effective communication

    Regular store visits and comp shopping to maintain market awareness and gather competitive intelligence

    Qualifications:

    Preferred: A bachelors degree in marketing or business

    10 Years relevant Sales Experience

    Sales Experience in Club Accounts (BJs Costco), Dept. Stores (Macys Dillards), & Corporate Retailers

    Experience managing 10+ million in corporate retailer sales

    Experience should involve selling consumer products to national accounts

    Experience selling custom products and/or industry experience is preferred

    Solid understanding of retail math including mark-up, sell-through, OTB and gross margin

    Team player. Ability to learn from the environment and tools given.
