    Minimum 1+ years of experience working with visually impaired individuals is required.

    We are currently looking for qualified candidates for 2-3 available positions as Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) or Orientation and Mobility Specialist (OMS) in Phoenix, AZ for the upcoming school year. We are seeking dedicated professionals who possess an active IVP number on their AZ Fingerprint Card, and who demonstrate a strong passion for supporting visually impaired students within a school environment.


    Job Details:

    • Discipline: Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) or Orientation and Mobility Specialist (OMS)
    • Location: Phoenix, AZ
    • School Year: with potential for renewal

    Position Requirements:

    • Active IVP number on AZ Fingerprint Card is mandatory
    • Valid certification or licensure as a TVI or OMS
    • Prior experience working with visually impaired students, particularly in a high school environment, is preferred

    Responsibilities:

    • Deliver specialized instruction to visually impaired students within the school setting
    • Conduct assessments to evaluate students' visual requirements and formulate suitable educational plans
    • Modify curriculum materials and teaching approaches to cater to the distinctive needs of visually impaired students
    • Instruct students in skills related to visual impairment, including orientation and mobility, independent living skills, and the use of assistive technology
    • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure the success and integration of students within the school community
