    Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) - Contract Job

    Location: Phoenix, AZ

    Soliant and its affiliates are thrilled to collaborate with school districts in the Phoenix area to offer students the vital services they need for a prosperous future. Currently, we are in search of a dedicated and seasoned Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) to join our team on a contract basis.

    Position Overview:

    As a TVI, your focus will be on working closely with visually impaired students, providing specialized instruction and support to help them reach their educational objectives. Collaboration with fellow educators, parents, and professionals is vital to ensure each student receives a customized and effective education.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for visually impaired students.
    • Deliver direct instruction tailored to students' visual requirements.
    • Adjust instructional materials and methodologies to cater to students' diverse needs.
    • Regularly assess and document students' progress.
    • Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and specialists to bolster student achievements.
    • Foster a positive, encouraging, and secure learning environment.

    Qualifications:

    • Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Education for the Visually Impaired or a related discipline.
    • Licensing: Hold a valid Arizona Teaching Certification with a visual impairment teaching endorsement.
    • Experience: Minimum of one year of recent experience in the field of Teaching the Visually Impaired.
    • Proficient in Braille, assistive technology, and relevant resources for the visually impaired.
    • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to collaborate effectively within a team and manage time efficiently.
