    Job DescriptionMinimum 1+ years visually impaired experience required.

    We are currently seeking qualified candidates for 2-3 openings for the position of Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) or Orientation and Mobility Specialist (OMS) for the school year in Phoenix, AZ. We are looking for dedicated professionals who have an active IVP number on their AZ Fingerprint Card, and who have a passion for working with visually impaired students in a school setting.

    Job Details:

    • Discipline: Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) or Orientation and Mobility Specialist (OMS)
    • Location: Phoenix, AZ
    • School Year: with potential to renew

    Position Requirements:

    • Active IVP number on AZ Fingerprint Card is a must
    • Valid certification or licensure as a TVI or OMS
    • Experience working with visually impaired students, specifically in a high school setting, is preferred

    Responsibilities:

    • Provide specialized instruction to visually impaired students in the school setting
    • Conduct assessments to evaluate students' visual needs and develop appropriate educational plans
    • Adapt curriculum materials and instructional strategies to meet the unique needs of visually impaired students
    • Teach students skills related to visual impairment, including orientation and mobility, independent living skills, and assistive technology use
    • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure students' success and inclusion in the school munity
