About the Role
The Sales Manager is critical in driving the success of our United States business. As the Sales Manager, you are responsible for driving new merchant acquisition by identifying highly targeted leads, working in a consultative fashion to become a key merchant partner, and ultimately closing deals with these merchants.
As a high-performing sales individual, you are an expert at building and converting a deep sales pipeline of mid-market & enterprise clients across multiple sectors. You do so by utilizing your existing professional network and expanding it rapidly via various networking strategies. You must be comfortable operating in a fast-paced, scale-up environment, selling over the phone using web-based demos and discussing the more technical nature of our products. Your goal is to meet or exceed sales targets and increase our revenue while raising the awareness of Splitits unique value proposition in the market.
As Sales Manager your responsibilities will include, but not necessarily be limited to:
Building a deep pipeline and closing high-volume merchant deals across the United States
Actively sourcing new lead opportunities
Managing the entire sales cycle from lead to go-live
Developing your own sales strategy to achieve and exceed sales volumes and revenue targets
Leveraging and enhancing sales tools and resources to best enable the sales process
Reporting daily, weekly and monthly against KPIs, metrics and targets
Ensuring the best customer experience and on-boarding process for new customers
Negotiating partnership agreements and commercial contracts in conjunction with legal, finance and strategy through to execution
Developing valuable relationships internally and externally to help achieve your goals
Collaborating with sales leaders and the broader global sales team to achieve organizational goals
What You Bring
2+ years of new business selling and closing experience on high performing sales teams
Sales and/or Business Development experience in ecommerce/online payment industries, ideally in fast-growing start-up-like environments with technical solutions preferred
Experience selling into the C-suite with the ability to easily identify and influence key decision makers and stakeholders preferred
Results focused, self-motivated and able to demonstrate holding oneself accountable for achieving key outcomes and meeting targets
Proven experience solution selling and using a consultative approach to partner with merchants, referenceable client examples preferred
You work collaboratively with people at all levels and across functions and cultures
You are willing to travel regionally as required
