Seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Paralegal to join our client for a hybrid opportunity in Jacksonville, FL The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a passion for learning about legal procedures and practices. This Contract-to-Hire opportunity offers $21.15-$22.50/Hour

Responsibilities:

Assist in conducting legal research using various resources such as online databases, legal libraries, and court records to support case preparation and strategy.
Provide assistance in drafting and preparing legal documents, including briefs, pleadings, contracts, and agreements, under the guidance of experienced team members.
Assist in organizing and maintaining case files, including scanning and filing documents, updating case calendars, and tracking deadlines to ensure efficient case management.
Aid in communicating with clients, witnesses, and other parties involved in legal matters to gather information, provide updates, and schedule appointments as needed.
Assist in collecting, reviewing, and organizing evidence, exhibits, and other relevant materials for use in legal proceedings, ensuring proper handling and confidentiality.
Provide general administrative support to the legal team, including answering phones, scheduling meetings, filing documents, and maintaining office supplies and equipment.
Stay informed about changes in laws, regulations, and court procedures relevant to assigned cases and assist in ensuring compliance with all legal requirements and guidelines.
Actively participate in training sessions and educational opportunities to expand legal knowledge and skills, demonstrating a commitment to professional growth and development.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 3 years of experience in a paralegal role, with flexibility for candidates demonstrating exceptional skills and relevant experience.
Proficiency in E-filing systems, with experience in electronic document management and court filing procedures.
Demonstrated ability in drafting pleadings, motions, and other legal documents with accuracy and attention to detail.
Proactive and resourceful approach to problem-solving, with the ability to anticipate needs and take initiative to address issues efficiently.
Strong responsiveness to inquiries, requests, and deadlines, ensuring timely communication and completion of tasks.
Confidence in legal abilities, with a willingness to take ownership of projects and work independently when necessary.
