New York Common Pantry - Director of Major Gifts

New York Common Pantry is one of the city's largest food pantries, focusing on providing food assistance, nutrition education, and more. As a dynamic organization experiencing rapid growth, we are seeking a Director of Major Gifts to join our team and lead the expansion of our major gifts program. This role is perfect for someone looking to make a lasting impact and strengthen our mission.

Responsibilities:

Directly oversee and expand a diverse portfolio of donors, elevating mid-level donors to major donor status.
Collaborate with key stakeholders to develop annual fundraising goals and plans.
Design and implement strategies to cultivate and acknowledge relationships with prospects and donors.
Utilize Raiser's Edge NXT to track donor activities and interactions effectively.
Facilitate gift planning and stewardship with the Board and major donors.
Prepare compelling proposals and support documentation for fundraising initiatives.
Guide the strategic expansion of the volunteer program.
Other responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree required.
Minimum of five years of development experience with a track record in securing major gifts.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Exceptional leadership skills and ability to foster innovation.
Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Experience with fundraising CRM, Raiser's Edge a plus.

Location: New York, NY

Salary Range: $105,000 - $119,000
