    Electric & Rose Clothing is a lifestyle clothing brand based in Venice, CA. Our clothing is designed for the woman who embodies the spirit of the ocean and enjoys a nomadic lifestyle. We make garments with love and create pieces that are versatile and timeless.

    Role Description
    This is a full-time role for a Design Director at Electric & Rose Clothing. The Design Director will be responsible for managing the design process, overseeing branding initiatives, and contributing to product design. This is a hybrid role, based in the Los Angeles Metropolitan Area with flexibility for some remote work.

    Role Responsibilities
    Function as leader, mentor, and manager for the office
    Create fresh, innovative, and commercial seasonal collections as well as ongoing fast turn product
    Collaborate with Founders, Art Director, Production Manager, and Head of Sales to ensure outstanding design execution while meeting business objectives
    Manage Development Manager in all fittings, wash development, tech pack creation, and tracking reports
    Partner with Founder & Creative Director on seasonal inspiration, concept direction and trend
    Create Seasonal mood & color direction
    Source new fabrics
    Create Line Plans by analyzing sales data
    Create & manage the seasonal development calendar
    Manage all production fittings
    Manage the design & development budget and keep tracking reports
    Troubleshoot Production issues and manage relationships with Vendors
    Partner with Marketing team to build, improve, and elevate brand identity

    Role Qualifications

    Ideal candidate should be highly creative and have a strong point of view.
    Outstanding taste level with the ability to recognize, forecast, and translate industry trend direction
    Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to direct team members in a positive and strategic way while nurturing creativity at all levels
    Strong understanding of retail business to identify product opportunities and offer innovative design solutions
    Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with partners in Sales, Production, and Marketing
    Expert technical knowledge of product, raw materials, manufacturing techniques, and processes
    Experience with both domestic and import production
    Strong understanding of the Electric &

    Rose customer aesthetic and product
    Must have at least 7 years experience in Apparel Design
