    As a Director of IT Operations Manager at Momentum, you'll lead the charge in managing and optimizing our network and infrastructure. Your expertise will ensure stability, availability and high performance of IT systems across Momentum companies.     A Day in The Life of this Role at Momentum

    As an Director of IT Operations on our Information Technology team at Momentum, your days will be dynamic and filled with opportunities to contribute to our mission. Here's a glimpse into what your typical day might look like:
    • Start your day by meticulously reviewing the latest network, infrastructure, and security updates and alerts.
    • Provide direct leadership to one or more IT Ops team members, including coaching, performance management, and professional development support, to ensure effective execution of responsibilities and team growth.
    • Lead collaborative with cross-functional teams to analyze network and infrastructure performance reports and identify opportunities for improvement and innovation.
    • Join a strategic meeting to share bold ideas, align on ambitious goals, and contribute to the overall strategy of the IT team.
    • Engage with your colleagues, leveraging diverse perspectives to drive creative and secure IT solutions.
    • Implement comprehensive network and infrastructure strategies, utilizing your skills to execute tasks efficiently and secure our IT systems against emerging threats.
    • Work closely with our partners at Momentum companies, providing them with the robust network support needed to deliver best-in-class solutions for our customers.
    • Dedicate time to staying updated on cutting-edge industry trends, emerging technologies, and evolving best practices in IT operations, infrastructure, and security.
    • Attend meetings and/or sessions to further your professional growth and deepen your understanding of each business and its dynamics across all portfolio companies. Propose process improvements or iterations, considering the unique nuances and needs of each company.
    • Plan for upcoming projects, collaborating with your team to strategize and align on future IT initiatives involving network and infrastructure development, and cyber security enhancements.
    Qualifications:

    We're looking for someone who:
    • Holds a bachelor's degree ideally in Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
    • Demonstrates a proven track record of success in strategic planning, operational execution, and security management within IT operations.
    • Has a demonstrated history of finding innovative solutions to network and infrastructure challenges by leveraging creativity, data-driven decision-making, and critical thinking.
    • Demonstrates strong analytical and problem-solving skills, crucial in managing complex systems and solving network and security issues.
    • Has the ability to build relationships and work effectively with diverse stakeholders, from executives to IT professionals across Momentum companies.
    • Displays empathy, flexibility, and a collaborative approach, being a team player and understanding the IT needs of various stakeholders.
    • Excels in communication and interpersonal skills, vital for coordinating between multiple teams and conveying technical issues and solutions clearly.
    • Demonstrates a strong understanding of IT budget planning and financial principles related to IT operations and infrastructure management.
    • Shows proficiency in technical skills, including network diagnostics tools, platforms like AWS or Azure, and security software.
    • Has a demonstrated history of leadership and initiative, stepping up to address issues proactively and making strategic decisions.
    • Is passionate for building robust and secure IT systems that play a crucial role in business success and making a positive impact.
    • Demonstrates focus, attention to detail, and the ability to concentrate on highly sensitive tasks in network management and security where accuracy is critical..
    • Can handle multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment, navigating ambiguity and remaining agile.
    When considering experience for this role, we typically find a great fit with candidates who have a minimum of 8+ years of relevant experience in the specified field. Additionally, experience in a holding company and/or in a start-up environment is a definite plus.

    The base salary range for this position may vary based on location. Actual compensation will be determined by role, level, and location, considering additional factors such as job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. For roles eligible for remote work, the base salary is tailored to the designated work location. In addition to the base salary, candidates may be eligible to receive a discretionary annual bonus, determined based on both the company's business performance and individual contributions.
