    We're looking for a Research Engineering Manager, who will help lead a team of research engineers and research scientists.

    You'll work closely alongside our Head of Research, developing team goals, setting benchmarks, and driving execution on the next generation of AI agents.


    Some of the most important problems we're working on in this space include reinforcement learning and self-play, measuring and improving UI understanding and solving planning problems for knowledge work.

    As a Research Engineering Manager at Adept, you will:

    Manage, lead, and mentor engineers and scientists on the research team
    Work closely with leadership to set Adept's research agenda and roadmap
    Work with the research team to get relevant feedback and iterate on their latest models
    Identify key metrics for model performance and set research roadmaps to achieve them
    Build and prioritize promising initiatives for improving model performance
    Experience managing high performing and diverse software engineering teams
    Familiarity with research work, especially with large language models
    Previous experience working as a research engineer or ML engineer
