I am a passionate product designer with a deep love of the outdoors, fitness, and food! I graduated from the University of Colorado - Boulder in 2019 with a B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering, and I recently moved to the San Francisco Bay Area. I've been designing high-end, outdoor consumer products for the majority of my career, and I can't wait to branch out further into new opportunities! 

Mechanical Design Engineer, Typhur, San Jose, CA     November 2022-Present

• Efficiently managed and executed the research, testing, and design of four critical systems by a deadline set two months after my start date for Typhur’s next generation cooking product 
• Concealed complex mechanical systems into a minimalist product form to uphold industrial design intent and produce a best-in-class user experience
• Introduced haptic feedback to the product’s primary touchpoints by integrating 4-bar linkages, springs (extension and torsion), magnets, hinges, sheet metal spring clips, and detents 

Product Design Engineer, Spark Grills, Boulder, CO                                     August 2019 - June 2022

• Designed and launched 16 critical grill components, including one utility patent pending design
• Traveled overseas and collaborated internationally with manufacturers in Thailand and China 
• Conceived systems, processes, and recipes that evolved the Spark charcoal Briq from a proof of concept to a mass manufacturable product 
• Contributed over 350 hours of direct work with users via customer service 

Product Manager, Spark Grills, Boulder, CO                                             December 2020 - June 2022

• Planned and strategized the design, production, and launch of eight products in the Spark accessory line, including the flagship Low and Slow Briq 
• Ensured milestones were completed through cross-departmental communication, task management, and timeline management 
• Managed vendors and suppliers throughout development and production 

Project Manager, Spark Grills, Boulder, CO                     April 2022 - June 2022

• Lead the Spark quality control team to convert over 1,000 unacceptable units into sellable inventory
• Saved Spark over $500k in salvaged inventory in three months 
• Prevented inventory from falling behind sales demand at a critical point for company growth

Engineering Intern, EDN, Inc., Boulder, CO                     June 2018 - July 2019

• Designed and assembled an automated seeding machine, streamlining a critical manufacturing process
• Planned and executed test procedures for failure analysis and performance analysis
• Improved designs for several SmallGarden2 components
