For the past decade I have worked in the financial services/ Fintech industry with Rocket Mortgage Companies. As one of their highest-level team members, I was responsible for handling half a billion dollars in Mortgage volume annually. My specific title was an Executive Solutions Consultant, which in laymen's terms means a Mortgage Doctor. If there was an issue with the home you were purchasing, I was one of only a team of twenty that these loans were trusted to. I equate the job to more of a sale- hostage negotiator given the escalated level of emotion and time constraints that often afflict a client's process and ability to close. 

I would work 250 to 300 of these situations monthly, often closing the loans at better than a 50% pull through to closing, which is high, and among the highest marks among the group; and equates to $300m in loan volume annually. 

Graduated from Central Michigan University with a B.S. of Finance B.A. As a finance major, I enjoyed the wide array of knowledge and art along with science that finance takes. It's more than accounting, economics, or marketing, psychology, macro, and micro economic psychology, news, international affairs, and economics, as well as the prediction of future events relating to markets and geopolitics. 

My areas of focus under the degree were on Political Science, History, Literature and Law. As a lifelong autodidact, I have played guitar since I was 7 and had a prodigal sense of the instrument from an early age. I have been in many bands, pit orchestra etc. throughout my life and have found that creative collaboration is where I thrive most, particularly when tied to passionate subjects. 

I am also a writer of poetry and novels. I have been in the process of producing a novel and book of poetry while night lighting outside of my normal work schedule, which was a grueling 10 to 14 hours a day.
