    Job Title:
    Director of Computational Biology

    A cutting-edge biotech firm at the forefront of proteomics research is seeking a talented and experienced Director of Computational Biology to join their dynamic team in Boston, MA.

    This company is dedicated to advancing the understanding of complex biological systems and developing innovative solutions to address unmet medical needs.


    Role Overview:

    As the Director of Computational Biology, you will play a crucial role in leading the computational biology team and driving the development of novel algorithms and computational methods to analyze and interpret large-scale proteomics data.

    Develop and implement state-of-the-art computational algorithms and tools for the analysis of proteomics data, including mass spectrometry-based data and other omics data types.

    Collaborate with experimental biologists and bioinformaticians to design experiments, analyze data, and interpret results to drive scientific discovery and decision-making.

    Stay abreast of emerging trends and technologies in computational biology, proteomics, and related fields, and incorporate innovative approaches into research strategies.

    Contribute to the development of scientific publications, presentations, and grant proposals to communicate research findings and secure funding.
    PhD in Computational Biology, Bioinformatics, Computer Science, or a related field with a strong emphasis on computational methods.
    ~Proven track record of leadership in computational biology or bioinformatics, including experience managing a team of scientists.
    ~ Expertise in the development and application of computational algorithms for the analysis of large-scale proteomics data.
    ~ Proficiency in programming languages commonly used in computational biology, such as Python, R, or Java, as well as experience with relevant bioinformatics tools and databases.
    ~ Experience in the biotech or pharmaceutical industry, particularly in the context of drug discovery and development.
    Knowledge of statistical methods and machine learning techniques applied to biological data analysis.
    Familiarity with cloud computing platforms and big data technologies for scalable analysis of large datasets.
