StataDX is seeking an innovative scientist, with significant expertise in analytical method development, to join an interdisciplinary team developing cutting-edge biosensor technology.
About Us — We are a venture-backed spinout from Harvard's Wyss Institute working to develop new diagnostic tests to support personalized therapeutic strategies for patients suffering from neurological conditions—e.g., Multiple Sclerosis, Traumatic Brain Injury, and Alzheimer's Disease.
About the Role — We are looking for an innovative scientist with a comprehensive understanding of analytical method development. Reporting to the Lead Scientist, you will develop first-in-class ultrasensitive immunoassays for our microfluidic-based platform.
What you'll do:
- Independently plan and execute experiments that advance assay development efforts.
- Develop electrochemical sensors and characterize electrode surface chemistry.
- Collaborate with the engineering team to develop and optimize microfluidics.
- Analyze, interpret, and present results; Assemble reports and support patent filings.
- Become the gotoperson for understanding new assays and problem solving.
What you'll need:
- Advanced degree in chemistry, biochemistry, or other relevant scientific discipline.
- At least 3 years' experience in immunoassay development.
Desirable Skills:
- Proven track record demonstrated by highquality publications and/or patents.
- Fulltime post graduate product development oriented experience is preferred.
- Deep technical experience with immunoassay development—e.g., antibody pair screening, bioconjugation, nanoparticle manipulation, multiplexing, & interference mitigation.
- Advanced understanding of affinitybased assays and analytical platforms—e.g., Molecular Devices, Luminex, MSD, etc.
- Practical experience with bioanalytical and biophysical techniques—e.g., ELISA, protein assays, chromatographic methods, DLS, kinetics, SPR, MST, QCM-D, etc.
- Ability to seek out collaborations and manage and mentor others.
