    Description

    A health services network in New York City is currently seeking a new Buyer / Purchasing Coordinator for a promising opportunity with their growing staff. In this role, the Buyer / Purchasing Coordinator will be responsible for order placement and monitoring to ensure delivery of products and services to end users.

    ***This is a Hybrid opportunity requiring the qualified professional to work onsite at least 2 days a week.***

    Responsibilities:

    The Buyer / Purchasing Coordinator will:

    • Provide customer service support to departments both on and off campus
    • Oversee the entire ordering process from approved requisition to matched invoice
    • Work with Suppliers for order follow-up and product research
    • Ensure uninterrupted supply of materials and services of a critical nature and of significant spend volumes across all locations
    • Initiate follow-up on orders to clarify, change or solve discrepancies
    • Work closely with Strategic Sourcing and Data team members to identify opportunities for items needed by end users, supplier adds and changes
    • Perform other duties, as needed
    Qualifications:
    • 1+ years of experience in a Buying and/or Purchasing-related role
    • High School Diploma / GED
    • Computer savvy
    • Microsoft Excel proficient
    • Solid problem solving and time management skills
    • Great interpersonal skills
    • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
    • Strong attention to detail
    • Highly organized
    Desired Skills:
    • Associate's and/or Bachelor's Degree
