**Duties and responsibilities**
Manages and adheres to budget guidelines and strong ability to handle contract negotiation then gaining Management approvals.
Negotiates with vendors for goods and services, negotiating the best possible price and service guarantees.
Review annually and develops new supply sources where vendors are inadequate.
Establishes account/credit and terms.
Checks requisitions for appropriate approval and account numbers
Traces delinquent arrivals from Purchase Orders.
Follows environmental and safety regulations and acts in compliance with US laws
Complies with safety and corporate guidelines on business ethics
Must have excellent communication skills, detail oriented with effective problem solving skills. Highly organized and able to handle multiple priorities in a fast paced environment. Excellent verbal & written communication skills.
Develops and implements cost saving measures; Contributes to profits and revenue; Conserves organizational resources.
Must be willing to travel as required.
Handle purchase requests for manufacturing raw materials, OEM, and MRO products and outside services. Procure pricing and delivery information, reviews requisitions.
Issue purchase orders, perform vendor sourcing and order expediting. Confers with vendors to obtain product or service information such as price, availability, and delivery schedule.
Works with manufacturing to establish re-order points, based on delivery terms.
Estimates values according to knowledge of market price.
Determines method of procurement such as direct purchase or competitive bids.
Reviews bid proposals and negotiates contracts within budgetary limitations and scope of authority.
Maintains procurement records such as items or services purchased, costs, delivery, product quality or performance, and inventories. Inputs accurate data such as costs, item number, account numbers and quantizes as required.
Alert production to issues which may cause schedule changes or interruption to supply chain. Discusses defective or unacceptable goods or services with inspection or quality control personnel, users, vendors, and others to determine source of trouble and take corrective action.
Maintain accurate paperwork and on line reporting in a timely fashion as required.
Expedites delivery of goods to users
