JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Execute the placement of orders on behalf of a large restaurant.
  • Manage the procurement systems and processes to maximize opportunities for cost saving, price comparison, vendor negotiations, comparative analysis.
  • Responsible for ordering food, beverages and all other items for the restaurant
  • Maintain organized records of all reports, PO's and other vendor communications.
  • Maintain vendor records, costs, leadtime, etc. in our internal system.
  • Reconcile delivery shortages and overages with vendors.
  • Support accounting with reconciling invoice discrepancies.
  • Inventory and cost control monthly inventory of all food and beverage
  • Will spearhead the rollout of purchasing/inventory cost control management software
  • Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures.
  • Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information; protect company assets.
KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

  • Minimum 3+ years of demonstrated success in a Food and Beverage procurement role
  • Food Protection Certificate is a plus
  • Ability to read and visually verify information in various formats (e. g., small print).
  • Attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent negotiation skills.
  • Proficient in food planning and preparation, purchasing, sanitation, company policies and procedures, recordkeeping, and preparation of reports.
  • Demonstrated success in executing purchasing programs, management of inventory, and storage area maintenance.
  • Extensive familiarity with local and regional vendors and product distributors.
  • Enter and locate workrelated information using computers and point of sale (POS)
  • Technical and software experience with purchasing/inventory systems
  • Proficient in Microsoft 365: Excel, Word, Outlook.
  • Passion for Fine Food products.
