Travel:

The Business Intelligence Developer creates interactive data applications that are used to drive clinical and operational improvements at Catalyst's healthcare system clients.

Visualizations will be developed in a variety of Business Intelligence/reporting tools, but the key skills we are looking for is the ability to tell a story with data and to create interactive visualizations that inspire action.

What you own in the role:
Develop interactive data applications that tell a story with clinical data and inspire action
Develop and document visualization best practices
Participate in developing vision for Catalyst's discovery analytics products
Provide demonstrations and installation support for applications at client sites
Engage with business users in requirements gathering; complete thorough documentation of project objectives and measure specifications
Perform project management duties during dashboard initiation, development, closure and enhancement cycles

What you bring to the role:
Proficient in one or more BI tools (QlikView strongly preferred, Tableau, Crystal Reports, Cognos, Report Builder, or similar tools may also be considered)
Ability to tell a story with data while utilizing visualization UI, UX and design best practices
Proficient in structured query language (SQL)
Maintain a high level of confidentiality
Health care experience – preferably experience in healthcare analytics
Working knowledge of database principles, processes, technologies and tools
Ability to Extract, articulate and document requirements
Interact and communicate with all levels of employees and clients
Proven leader, advisor and mentor
Self-motivated; comfortable working independently under general direction
Familiarity with development methodologies including the agile development approaches
Understanding of process-improvement methods, including those of Deming and Lean
Working knowledge of statistical process control or six sigma
Strong sense of customer service to consistently and effectively address client needs
Ability to lead and mentor other team members
Experience working in a consulting, for profit or software company
BS/BA in business-related field or equivalent relevant work experience
2+ years' experience in technology or technology related field

Information Security and Compliance Responsibilities:

Maintain compliance with training directives required by the organization pertaining to Information Security, Acceptable Use Policy and HIPAA Privacy and Security.

Adhere to and comply with the organizations Acceptable Use Policy.

Safeguard information system assets by identifying and reporting potential and actual security events to the organizations Security and Compliance Officers.
