- Accurately and efficiently enter customer data into the CRM system, including contact information, communication history, and transaction details.
- Maintain the integrity and consistency of customer data by performing regular data quality checks and identifying and resolving any errors or inconsistencies.
- Ensure data privacy and security by following established protocols and maintaining strict confidentiality of customer information.
- Ensure data regarding our members and municipalities are up to date and accurate by:
- Developing and executing data gathering initiatives.
- Fielding inquiries received by phone, electronic or verbal correspondence.
- Resolving duplication of records (Accounts, Contacts, etc.)
- Collecting, entering, and updating data from spreadsheets, websites, and other sources.
- Collaborate with staff to address any errors or discrepancies, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.
- Provide customer service to our members by assisting them with inquiries of their data, password resets, website questions, etc.
- Generate reports and provide data analysis as requested, utilizing CRM system functionalities to extract relevant information.
- Makes a positive contribution as demonstrated by making suggestions for improvement, and learning new skills, procedures, and processes.
- Provide entry level backup support to the CRM administrator. Provide technical support and remote troubleshooting guidance as needed.
- Adhere to company policies and guidelines, including data protection regulations and compliance standards.
- Performs other duties as required.
- Proven experience in data entry, preferably in a CRM or database management environment.
- Proficient in MS Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), notably Excel and ability to create pivot tables.
- Customer Service focused.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse groups of internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive attitude towards identifying and resolving data discrepancies.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to maximize positive customer experience for staff who use CRM and for League membership.

The North Carolina League of Municipalities (NCLM) is seeking a CRM Data Entry Associate. This position is part of the Information Technology team and plays a key role in maintaining accurate and up-to-date information in our Customer Relations Database (CRM). This is an IN OFFICE based position. This role will be focused on ensuring the integrity and accuracy of our customer data and thereby enabling effective relationship, sales, education, and marketing activities of the League.
