    Jamison Professional Services, Inc. ("Jamison") is currently seeking a qualified and motivated candidate for the position of General Clerk III.
    Job Title: General Clerk III – Riverside, CA
    DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES:The employee will be located at the front desk and will perform routine and basic office functions at the site. The employee will conduct business with members of the Forest Service and the general public in a professional manner by greeting visitors and either providing them with the information they need or directing them to the proper staff. The employee will be operating office equipment and working with Forest Service systems. The employee must be able to answer phones and office inquiries in a knowledgeable and professional manner; know and assist with procurement activities, understand and carry out office mail and shipping procedures, and learn to check-in and check-out procedures for building staff and security.
    REQUIRED AND DESIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
    • High School diploma
    • Can type utilizing a computer: (MS Office min 45 wpm).
    • Must be familiar with Microsoft software including Excel, Word, SharePoint, etc.
    • Become knowledgeable regarding access control for authorized personnel and visitors.
    • Become familiar with Forest Service terminology, rules, and regulations.
    • Can communicate, meet, and deal tactfully with the public and co-workers.

    JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
    • Building security by arming and disarming security alarms and serving as the point of contact for alarm companies.
    • Greets visitors at the front desk of the facility in a professional manner.
    • Answers telephone.
    • Provides routine information and routes calls to appropriate personnel.
    • Assists callers with questions or directs them to the appropriate personnel.
    • Takes accurate messages.
    • Answers employee and general public inquiries.
    • Assists with office correspondence and filing.
    • Become familiar with activities and events at the Forest Service site to adequately answer questions and assist with projects.
    • Tracks general office supplies and vendor requests for facility manager for facility use and makes procurement requests when requested.
    • Tracks janitorial inventory and makes procurement requests for supplies when low.
    • Maintains and replaces toner in printers, copiers, and postage meters for the site.
    • Files any records that must be kept hardcopy on-site or electronically documents in the appropriate filing system.
    • Responsible for mail, FedEx, and UPS: both incoming and outgoing.
    • Responsible for assisting with Conference Room Management which includes scheduling, maintaining supplies, and assisting with Video-Teleconferencing set-up.
    • Assist with basic data entry.
    • Will be responsible for quarters clerical data entry in some locations.
    • Assist with data entry, which may include data entered manually or scanned.
    • Assist with creating and maintaining a library catalog spreadsheet of books, involving titles, authors, and locations.
    • Assist with vehicle inventory, tracking, or scheduling.

    HOURS OF OPERATION
    • Days of Work: Monday through Friday except federal holidays
    • Days Off: Saturday/Sunday
    • Hours: 8:00 am to 4:30 pm (Riverside) Full-Time 8 hours/day
    • Lunch: 30 minutes for a full-time schedule

    Clearance Level Required: Must be able to pass a Federal Background check.
