- Help prospect for new customers and engage with existing customers on new offerings
- Mines the E-Automate database for customers that do not have an active MPS Agreement.
- Telephones prospects to identify appropriate contacts, qualify and drive leads through the sales pipeline.
- Compiles lists of prospective customers for use as sales leads, based on information from newspapers, business directories, industry ads, trade shows, Internet Web sites, and other sources.
- Hands-on involvement in a variety of marketing logistics, including quotes prices and credit terms and prepares sales contracts for orders obtained.
- Travels throughout assigned territory to call on regular and prospective customers to solicit orders, or talks with customers by phone.
- Conducts a 30/60/90 days follow up for each lead. o Reports on the progress of each lead. o Tracks closed sales.
- Maintains records of all leads by date and by MPS Consultant.
- Develops and maintains relationships with purchasing contacts.
- Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred.

- Knowledge of MS Office products.

The Sales Canvasser position functions as the sales department's administrative support; appointment setter, logistics and serving as a liaison for clients. Sales Canvassers assists with daily operation of the sales team, ensuring smooth and efficient workflow. Identifies revenue opportunities, qualifies and engage appropriate contacts, qualify and drive leads through the sales pipeline.
