    Marcum Search is assisting our client in their search for a

    Regional

    Controller

    in

    TX or LA.


    This position is a hybrid position where you will be doing the normal accounting functions but also providing support to branches as well as doing budgets.

    The assistant accounting controller is responsible for the accounting operations of the company.

    This includes the production of periodic financial reports, maintenance of an adequate system of accounting records, and a comprehensive set of controls and budgets designed to mitigate risk.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    Responsible for timely and accurate journal entries

    Responsible for reconciliation of financial statements

    Assist branch managers with budgets and important financial decisions

    Assist in preparation of internal and external financial statements

    Responsible for timely, accurate and efficient accounting close on a monthly basis

    Manages accounting functions on a day-to-day basis including invoicing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, procurement, and general ledger accounting

    Responsible for monthly inventory reconciliation of branches

    Requirements and Qualifications

    Must have solid communication, technical, analytical and management skills

    Should possess knowledge of all aspects of generally accepted accounting principles

    Good organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multi-task

    Must be able to work as part of a team and in a fast-paced environment

    Self-starter, ability to identify issues and resolve problems

    Commitment and abilities to meet critical business deadlines

    Experience in construction accounting is highly valued

    Experience in Microsoft Office 365, Construction based ERP, Foundation, and DataForma highly valued

    Salary rage is between $110-$125K + bonus potential.
