    Job Posting Summary

    The Learning Support Facilitator provides tutoring and academic support to undergraduate and graduate students. In his/her sessions, he/she fosters intellectual growth to help students become independent learners. May also conduct workshops in a variety of formats, sizes, and topics, including discipline specific reviews, study skills and time management, as well as basic computer skills. In this role, he/she encourages student success through engagement with a variety of academic resources, and act as mentors to Peer Tutors.

    Qualifications

    Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university required.
  • Required Skills & Experience:
  • Demonstrated excellence in oral and written communication skills as well as the ability to work collegially with diverse personnel.
  • Demonstrated leadership, interpersonal, written and oral communication, problem-solving, organizational, and presentation skills.
  • Computer proficiency in MS Office, Outlook, Banner, LibCal and Internet.
  • Demonstrated evidence of detail-orientation, customer service orientation, ability to work independently, high attention to detail.
  • Ability to travel between locations preferred.
  • Tutoring/ teaching experience is a plus
  • Physical/Other Requirements:
  • Must be able to push, pull, move or lift up to 50 lbs
  • Must be able to meet all general health requirements for the position as per University policies
  • Compensation offered will be commensurate with the educational background and work experience of the individual.
