The primary function of a Certified Recovery Coach/Peer Specialist is facilitating outreach with individuals currently in a program or considering treatment.

Utilizing their recovery expertise, professional training and lived experience, peers boost individuals' engagement in treatment and commitment to recovery.

Responsibilities:


  • Conducting one on one peer support sessions
  • Facilitating peer support groups
  • Utilizing recovery expertise, professional training and lived experience
  • Serve as a mentor and role model for clients, sharing personal experiences of recovery
  • Outreach to engage individuals currently in a program or considering treatment
  • Educating program participants about various modes of recovery
  • Conduct regular checkins with clients to monitor progress and offer encouragement
  • Collaborate with other members of the treatment team to ensure comprehensive care for clients

Experience and Qualifications:


  • Certified Recovery Peer Advocate, CRPA
  • CRPA-Provisional, CRPA-P
  • High School Diploma or Equivalency
  • Previous experience working in the field of addiction recovery
  • Maintain accurate and uptodate documentation of client interactions and progress
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with clients
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
