To achieve this vision, we need to establish a common data continuum ecosystem across diverse teams, including Research & Biomarkers (R&B), Process Development & Industrialization, Analytical Sciences, Clinical, Manufacturing, and various internal/external sites.
To achieve this vision, mRNA CoE is looking for data scientists who will be embedded in labs and will work closely with the scientists in the mRNA Sciences, Delivery, Chemistry, Discovery Biology and Biomarker teams.
In this role you will:
Lead by example:
Foster a culture of collaboration and data ownership among scientists and engineers.
Break down silos:
Design and implement data pipelines to seamlessly connect diverse data sources.
Champion data hygiene:
Drive the adoption of best practices for data quality and integrity.
Enable data access:
Streamline data access and retrieval processes for all stakeholders.
Build bridges:
Collaborate effectively within groups Research and Biomarkers and with counterparts in PD&I, Analytical Sciences, Data and Computational Science (DCS) departments.
Key responsibilitiesTowards Integrated workflows & Data collection
Work hands-on with R&B Scientists & technicians in specific sites to upgrade current data operations and practices to build impactful ways of working.
In association with data continuum and digital team ensure proper functioning of data collection process, integration, software and Internet applications.
Organize appropriate data collection and raw data processing methods at various users/experimental read outs across R&B teams leading to harmonized data management and utilization.
Towards Data management & Continuum
Create and implement digital tracking of test articles and study status for screening of novel LNPs – Inventory of registered samples and studies
Support R&B scientists to organize and ingest unstructured data.
Collaborate with Data Science to maintain data management plans for all critical data related to test articles at R&B – Dashboards, meta data etc.
Assess system performance and make recommendations for hardware, software, and data storage improvements for R&B
Knowledge & Skills:
Ph.
D.
in Bioinformatics, Data Science or related field with at least 1 year of industry or post-doctorlal experience OR Master's degree plus 3 years.
Hands on basic IT environment and script programming for automated tools in data acquisition, integration, cleaning, and data management.Experience of programing with C#, C++, R or Python. (Thorough understanding of management and data administration duties such as collection, analysis, and distribution
In-depth understanding of modern database and information technologies and ability to organize large volumes of data
Ability to develop tools to interface with electronic lab notebook Benchling/iLab
Ability to develop, evaluate, and implement workflows for technology, optimize and standardized existing techniques and workflows with respect to experimental HT mRNA generation process workflow including DNA & IVT-RNA production, LNP formulation and in vitro/in vivo screening is desired
Understanding of nucleic acids DNA/RNA analytical performance assessment tools: PCR, Cloning/plasmid generation and design, Quality control on DNA/RNA (capillary electrophoresis, UV quantification, Sanger sequencing, NGS...) is desired.
Experience with Data mining, database, functional analysis, machine learning algorithm, dashboarding and data visualization is desirable.
Function in highly collaborative, cross functional team (EU/US) emphasize with networking.
Open to work and to share information across different groups, as well as identify key needs.
