- Leadership and Team Management:
- Lead, motivate, and manage a team of maintenance technicians to ensure all maintenance tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
- Provide guidance, training, and mentorship to maintenance staff to enhance their skills and knowledge.
- Maintenance Planning and Execution:
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and ensure optimal functioning of machinery and equipment.
- Coordinate with production supervisors to schedule maintenance activities in a manner that minimizes disruption to production schedules.
- Oversee troubleshooting and repair of machinery breakdowns to minimize production downtime.
- Electrical Systems Management:
- Utilize electrical expertise to diagnose and repair electrical malfunctions in machinery and equipment.
- Conduct regular inspections of electrical systems, including wiring, motors, and control panels, to identify potential issues and ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Collaborate with external contractors for specialized electrical repairs and installations when necessary.
- Safety and Compliance:
- Enforce safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for maintenance staff and other employees.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards pertaining to machinery operation and maintenance, particularly those related to electrical safety.
- Inventory and Budget Management:
- Manage inventory of spare parts, tools, and equipment necessary for maintenance activities, ensuring adequate stock levels and minimizing downtime due to lack of resources.
- Prepare and manage the maintenance department budget, including forecasting expenditures and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency enhancements within the maintenance department.
- Implement best practices and new technologies to optimize maintenance processes and increase productivity.
