Description
**Job Summary** : The Fitness Center Supervisor oversees the Choctaw Wellness Center staff, operations, and programs to provide excellent customer service to members. You ensure quality control and collaborate with staff and members to achieve and maintain standards. You will report to the Director.
**Primary Tasks:**
1. Oversee the guidance of the Choctaw Wellness Center daily operations including fitness programs, staff scheduling, and enforcement of procedures.
2. Oversee all full-time, part-time, contract laborers, and fitness instructors within facility.
3. Secure and lead services for a variety of fitness and wellness programs or educational seminars to benefit the health and well-being of members.
4. Develop and present monthly membership and program participation information/reports.
5. Responsible for cash management including recording revenue data, making deposits, following cash management procedures.
6. Manage Wellness Center inventory including fitness equipment, janitorial supplies, and promotional items.
7. Monitor wellness facility, members, and guests and ensure procedures are enforced.
8. Oversee and perform facility and equipment maintenance processes, including checking equipment for malfunctions and monitoring preventative maintenance performed by outside vendor.
9. Makes recommendations regarding capital equipment procurement.
10. Other responsibilities as may be assigned.
**MINIMUM**
Bachelors degree in Health Promotion, Kinesiology, Exercise Science, Management, or related field or;
Four [4] years of related experience
Current Fitness or Personal Training Certification from an accredited institution. (e.g., ACSM, NASM, CrossFit, Cooper Institute, AFAA, ACE)
CPR/AED certification
Two [2] additional, applicable years of experience
**TARGET**
Bachelors degree in Health Promotion, Kinesiology, Exercise Science, Management, or related field or;
Four [4] years of related experience
Current Fitness or Personal Training Certification from an accredited institution. (e.g., ACSM, NASM, CrossFit, Cooper Institute, AFAA, ACE)
Group Instruction Certification
