    Description
    Principal Function: The Logistics Support Specialist is responsible for assisting with daily operational activities, such as reviewing reports, managing route escalations, finalizing orders, and responding to customer inquiries.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Duties include, but are not limited to:
    • Review End of Shift (EOS) report provided from first shift and complete remaining tasks.
    • Proactively review open routes and determine escalation protocols.
    • Review and clean dispatch board.
      • Nightly resolution of open or unallocated orders to be closed out.
    • Review and delete AD Hoc stops for specified customers and ensure all routes are properly closed out with Proof of Delivery (POD)
    • Review and confirm all orders are properly assigned and closed out.
    • Enter driver pay adjustments, as necessary.
    • Review, log, and fix all geofence issues that are communicated.
    • Create and document orders that do not have POD.
    • Assist in the answering of incoming customer calls and emails.
      • Focusing on routing specific inquiries.
      • Ensure any change to customer routes is executed and followed up on.
    • Review the canceled ordered logs and ensure each order is pulled from distribution routes nightly.
    • Review IC call off log and make proper adjustments for IC coverage.
    • Ensure that IC's have no open orders for the day.
    • Complete and finalize EOS report.
    • Additional tasks may be added as necessary.
    Supervisory Responsibilities: This job has no employee supervisory responsibilities.

    Education and/or Experience: Associate's Degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; and two years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Previous experience working in the logistics and distribution industry is desired.

    • Must have and maintain a verifiable Driver's License, demonstrated safe driving record, and remain insurable through the company's liability insurance carrier as applicable.

    Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less), distance vision (clear vision at 20 feet or more), color vision (ability to identify and distinguish colors), peripheral vision (ability to observe an area that can be seen up and down or to the left and right while eyes are fixed on a given point), depth perception (three-dimensional vision, ability to judge distances and spatial relationships), and the ability to adjust focus (ability to adjust the eye to bring an object into sharp focus).

    This job operates primarily in a professional office environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential. However, job duties may require one to operate in a warehouse environment with moderate safety/health hazard potential. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate. This role is required to be on-site.

    While the offices of company are open from 8AM to 5PM, Monday through Friday, this job will require work beyond these hours which may include weekends and holidays.
