**Hiller Systems, a division of The Hiller Companies, Inc., has an immediate opening for a working Marine Service Manager to support and expand shipyard projects for fire alarm and fire suppression systems in San Diego, CA. We are seeking a hands-on manager for shipyard projects along the West Coast.**

***Position Summary:***

Support the current projects and develop/expand opportunities within the shipyards Hiller works with now.

Develop new customer relationships along the West Coast, working from San Diego office location.

Carry out the Test and Commissioning of the fire detection systems on the cruise vessels. (Autronica)

Work with and manage an operating budget.

***Duties/Responsibilities:***

Implement all Hiller Procedures and Policies, Safety, Administrative and Personnel.

Establish and monitor construction labor and material budget for each project under your responsibility. Develop and implement production schedules for every project. Monitor and maintain schedules with input from onsite supervisors.

Ensure that all jobs meet their contractual requirements, including budget and schedule.

Maintain and improve the profitability of projects under your responsibility by looking for opportunities to increase efficiency.

Ensure that the quality of the installation is to a high standard, the safety of the employees is achieved.

Ensure all ISO documentation is completed and recorded correctly during the project.

Carryout weekly production meetings with Onsite Production Coordinator and Supervisors and report status to Director Marine Services.

Responsible for developing and reviewing all estimates. Responsible for presenting the change orders to the client for each Project.

Ensuring the correct test and operational procedures are distributed to production, and that they are in compliance with current Hiller Quality Assurance Standards

Provide motivation, maintain morale and minimize confrontation within the project team.

Monitor quality standards and give feedback to the Onsite Production Coordinator and Supervisors.

***Required Qualifications:***

A sound and practical understanding of manufacturing methods of the fire protection and/or shipbuilding installations, with a minimum of 4 years experience.

Display a good working knowledge of planning and monitoring.

Excellent budget and cost control management skills.

Good knowledge and estimating skills.

Ability to work effectively under pressure.

Excellent people management skills.
