    Enterprise Security Compliance Analyst

    State Funds' Enterprise Compliance unit has an exciting opportunity for an Enterprise Security Compliance Analyst. This role is responsible for leading or participating on the complex security projects and teams to meet business goals and objectives. The ideal candidate will have experience advising security leadership on matters related to regulatory and industry compliance risks. They will work under the leadership of the Enterprise Security Management and Chief Information Security Officer (CISO).

    Role Responsibilities:

    • Analyze complex incoming non-vendor Risk Assessments and advise State Fund programs on security risks and mitigating controls.
    • Provide security reviews in areas including, but not limited to, System Development Life Cycle (e.g., Business Requirement Documents, Technical Design Documents, and Defect Testing, etc.).
    • Interface with all State Fund programs and advise on projects' security risks and mitigating controls.
    • Develop/maintain/recommend information security policies/standards/procedures in alignment with security frameworks.
    These positions can be filled in the following locations: Kern, Shasta , Fresno, Los Angeles, Alameda, Humboldt, Riverside, Sonoma, Sacramento, Solano, Orange, or San Joaquin County.

    Desirable Qualifications In addition to evaluating each candidate's relative ability, as demonstrated by quality and breadth of experience, the following factors will provide the basis for competitively evaluating each candidate:
    • Effective communicator across all organizational levels, adept at engaging with technical team members as well as senior leadership.
    • Experience with emerging security risks.
    • Working experience with risk assessments and security analysis related to system development lifecycle work.
    • Working knowledge and understanding of information security risks and mitigations.
    • Experience in developing/writing policies, guidelines, standards, and procedures.
    • Working knowledge and understanding of security frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO, PCI, etc.).
    • Expert knowledge in developing reporting and metric structure.
    • CISA and/or CISSP certifications will be a plus.
