    Description

    Business Systems Analyst - Contract to Hire

    Overview:

    We are looking for a Business Systems Analyst who will collaborate with key stakeholders to identify operational opportunities and develop business systems solutions to enhance efficiency and achieve operational goals. As a Business Systems Analyst, you will leverage your expertise in product knowledge, relevant regulations, and administrative processes.

    Main Responsibilities:

    • Design innovative solutions to address operational opportunities, particularly in complex areas requiring advanced business systems knowledge, resulting in notable enhancements in accuracy and efficiency through effective teamwork
    • Lead the development of processes, applications, and models crucial for meeting operational objectives successfully
    • Monitor regulations, new product offerings, and changes to existing products to determine impacts on the business systems team's responsibilities, and establish and implement new system requirements to update affected applications and processes
    • Ensure compliance with quality control procedures
    • Provide training and mentorship to team members

    Requirements:

    • Minimum of 8 years of relevant technical and/or business experience
    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field; or equivalent work experience or specialized training
    • Advanced technical skills in areas including Insurance product features and mechanics, Programming concepts (XML, JSON, Java), ACORD standards, Microsoft Excel functionality (including Visual Basic for Applications), eApplication Platforms (Zinnia - AN4 & AMP, iPipeline - Affirm, Hexure - FireLight), and relevant regulations

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • 8+ years of experience in insurance industry operations or system support roles
