- Analyze project blueprints, specifications, and other documentation to prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for interior construction and renovation projects.
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to gather necessary information and develop comprehensive bid proposals.
- Manage the subcontractor bidding process, including soliciting bids, reviewing proposals, and negotiating contracts to ensure competitive pricing and alignment with project requirements.
- Coordinate with subcontractors and vendors to obtain pricing for materials, equipment, and labor, and incorporate this information into project estimates.
- Utilize construction estimating software and tools to quantify materials, labor, equipment, and other project expenses accurately.
- Prepare and present cost estimates, proposals, and value engineering options to clients and project stakeholders, demonstrating a thorough understanding of project scope and requirements.
- Monitor project budgets, track expenses, and provide regular updates to project teams and senior management throughout the project lifecycle.
- Foster positive relationships with subcontractors and vendors, providing support and guidance as needed to ensure successful project outcomes.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in construction estimating, with a focus on interiors and subcontractor management.
- Strong understanding of interior construction techniques, materials, and building codes.
- Proven experience managing subcontractor relationships and procurement processes.
- Proficiency in construction estimating software
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
