We have a strong outside sales force that generates leads weekly.

Our estimator then walks and bids for various in house and subcontractor trades, including framing, plumbing, exterior building envelope, painting, iron fabrication, waterproofing, deck repairs, and more.

This position is approximately 70% in the field, with 30% being computer-based admin. Our territory covers all of LA County. A vehicle allowance and gas are included. Our physical office is in the Hermosa Beach area.

To be a good fit as our Estimator, you will need:

At least 5 years of reconstruction experience.
The ability to create scopes of work based on existing site conditions, prioritize scopes of work, and develop estimates is required.
Proficiency in reading, interpreting, and understanding plans and repair specifications from engineers and architects.
Generating PRFIs to engineers and/or architects based on repair design or repair scope
Proficiency in Excel required. Bluebeam, Adobe, AutoCAD, and other estimating software is preferred.
Additionally, completing material takeoffs and being proficient in Microsoft Office is a must.
You will be required to participate in and prepare necessary deliverables for the project turnover process with the Production department.
Developing/innovating means and methods to complete projects that create opportunities for increased profit margins and efficiency.
Qualifies and contacts new and existing subcontractors to bid on specific trade items.
Continuous solicitation and expansion of subcontractor trade base, including qualifying new subcontractors.
Assistance in preconstruction projects from conception to completion.
A valid drivers license with a clean driving record
Selfmotivation, a strong work ethic, and the ability to set and achieve goals.
