    Accounting & Administrative Support- Part-Time


    Are you a take charge individual that can handle multiple tasks and work independently? Bassett Home Furnishings in Fayetteville is hiring for a part-time Accounting & Administrative Support position.


    To be successful in this position you must be able to manage multiple tasks including order entry, accounts payable, accounts receivable, inventory receiving and adjustments, customer service, human resources, general administrative work, filing, contact with vendors, supporting sales staff, coordinating supplies for the store, collection of funds, finalizing sales, and maintenance of customer information.

    Knowledge/Skills Required


    • Excellent phone etiquette and verbal communication skills
    • Excellent organizational and time management skills
    • Ability to work accurately with numbers and details
    • Ability to multi-task and manage work with regular interruptions
    • Analytical abilities and aptitude in problem-solving
    • Understanding of basic accounting principals
    • Ability to follow through on issues to completion
    • Ability to effectively handle customer concerns and difficult situations
    • Ability to ensure effective communication between sales team, delivery team, and customers
    • Experienced user of Windows-based computer software, Excel, Word, and Outlook
    • Proven experience as an office assistant, accounting support, customer service or another relative administrative role


    A high school diploma and two or more years of administrative and accounting/data entry experience -OR- related college coursework required.

    Bassett administrative associates are compensated on an hourly basis. Hourly rate is dependent upon experience.

    A part-time hours per week) position is available. Must be able to work some Saturdays and some holidays. Opportunity for additional hours periodically to help cover teammate vacation time and busy selling periods.
