Responsibilities:

Hands-On Leadership: Serve as the lead boots-on-the-ground worker, actively participating in and leading all landscape and hardscape projects. Demonstrate a self-starter attitude by taking initiative in planning and executing tasks.

Project Execution: Oversee and directly engage in all aspects of landscape and hardscape projects, from initial planning to final execution. Ensure that all projects in the pipeline are completed efficiently and to the highest standards.

Workload Management: Manage workloads effectively, balancing resources and personnel to meet project deadlines. Adapt plans and schedules as needed to align with the seasonality of landscape and hardscape construction.

Flexible Scheduling: Work a flexible and demanding schedule that meets the seasonal demands of the landscape construction business. Be prepared to adjust work hours and shifts to ensure project timelines are met during peak seasons.

Team Collaboration: Lead by example, working alongside crew members and providing guidance and support. Foster a team environment where safety, productivity, and craftsmanship are prioritized.

Quality Assurance: Maintain quality standards throughout the project lifecycle. Regularly assess project progress, provide recommendations, and ensure adherence to health and safety regulations.

Equipment & Inventory Management: Conduct inventory checks, perform equipment inspections, and manage administrative tasks efficiently. Ensure that all tools and equipment are used safely and effectively.

Training & Development: Mentor and train crew members, enhancing their skills and knowledge. Schedule and facilitate training sessions to promote continuous improvement and proficiency in landscape and hardscape practices.


Requirements:


  • High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certification may be required.
  • Proficiency in the use of landscaping tools and equipment.
  • Previous experience as a landscape crew member, with handson, onthejob training.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities, with a focus on leading by example.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to provide clear instructions and guidance.
  • Commitment to safety protocols and regulations.
  • Willingness to continuously expand knowledge of landscape and hardscape practices.
  • Ability to take initiative, lead projects, and manage workloads effectively, ensuring timely completion of all projects in the pipeline.
  • Flexibility to work a heavy and variable schedule that aligns with the seasonal demands of landscape construction.

$ $45.00 per hour
