    SQUAD LEADER Outbound Data Exchange Product Squad

    The Role

    As a Health & Welfare Product Squad Leader, you blend benefits administration knowledge, leadership, and product development experience with a passion for creating customer value and delivering results.

    As the product owner you are the end-to-end gatekeeper of the squad mission, strategy, and tactical execution associated with delivering on strategic priorities specifically, to deliver outbound data exchange for client projects, in particular strategic client migrations to a modernized benefits administration recordkeeping platform. Your squad will implement file and API-based data exchange with the client s external third-party benefit providers and payroll vendors in a seamless, efficient, and scalable manner. In an agile structure, you will partner with other Fidelity leaders to influence broader strategic decisions, roadmaps and resource requirements, set and refine the mission, and bring together a team of chapter members to execute and ensure data exchange solutions are available, stable, performant and supported when required and related cost and maintenance is managed.

    You will ensure alignment on the \u201Cwhat\u201D and \u201Cwhen\u201D work is to be performed through ongoing planning and prioritization of a product backlog. You will enable squad members to work iteratively, innovate through testing and experimentation and learn from failures while celebrating success. You are committed to developing your own expertise and knowledge to ensure you bring the latest thinking to your role.

    • Providing leadership for and direction to a squad focused on delivering at scale B2B outbound data exchange with clients external third-party benefit providers and payroll vendors
    • Defining, refining, and communicating the squads' mission and roadmap to motivate and build team and partner support and alignment
    • Making decisions that can impact business results with guidance from partners and leaders. Anticipating, discovering through ongoing interaction with, and prioritizing client / partner needs to serve as their voice and guide execution of the team
    • Measuring performance against established objectives and metrics that deliver on agreed upon business, technology, and people results
    • Defining, evaluating, and communicating results against acceptance criteria. Engaging with stakeholders regularly to monitor and share progress.
    • Inspecting and evaluating progress, and removing impediments
    • Collaborating and coordinating with Chapter Leaders and Scrum Masters to build squad capacity and capability and enabling squad member growth, development and learning
    • Making informed trade-off decisions to strike the right balance between quality, cost, and timelines
    • Maintaining an understanding of client and market needs, preferences, and priorities

    The Expertise and Skills You Bring

    • Bachelor s degree required; Master s degree preferred
    • Scrum Product Owner Certification (CSPO) and/or Certified Employee Benefit Specialist (CEBS) or similar designations are a plus
    • 7+ years in product management, technology and/or business.
    • At least 5 years experience in the Health & Welfare outsourced administration services business, including familiarity with voice of customer and client implementation processes, preferred
    • Experience with back-end core recordkeeping development and delivery, in particular with B2B file and/or API-based data exchange
    • Experience designing, developing and maintaining dynamic products and solutions
    • Hands-on agile leadership experience.
    • Jira and Jira Align hands-on experience preferred
    • You take a data-focused approach to understanding customer needs, translate strategic objectives into action, and prioritize to improve value delivered
    • You grasp sophisticated product features and break them into clear and concise stories with well-defined business value and acceptance criteria and optimally communicate these
    • You have a strong focus on execution and identify, communicate and remove impediments to progress
    • You are capable of leading, influencing, and motivating colleagues without formal authority, and have a track record of building high-performing teams
    • You continuously improve and encourage an agile way of working
    • You establish and maintain unquestioning relationships as you work collaboratively across Fidelity to deliver business outcomes and seek out the expertise of colleagues to advise on your approach

    The Team

    You work in partnership with the H&W Client Implementation & Project Automation Product Area Leader, Outbound Data Exchange Lead Product Owner, and other Outbound Data Exchange Squad Leaders, as well as the Scrum Master and Chapter Leaders aligned to your squad. You are also part of a matrix structure partnering with the H&W Migrations teams focused on successfully executing client projects to migrate clients to a new, modern benefits administration recordkeeping platform.
