    The Role

    Are you excited about joining a team that is working on establishing a new business in a rapidly expanding market segment? We are seeking a dynamic and creative leader to become part of our Managed Accounts Fee Billing team at Fidelity Institutional Managed and Advisory Solutions.
    The advisor adoption of our flagship Fidelity Managed Account Xchange (FMAX) platform is on the rise, prompting us to expand our critical capability teams to support the growing client adoption of the FMAX platform. This role focuses on improving fee-billing processes and financial controls essential for business growth, ensuring the accuracy of FMAX platform fees. Collaboration with various teams including Billing, Finance, Accounting, Legal, Risk, Compliance, Technology, and Operations will be key.

    As a Squad Leader, your role combines product development, leadership, and financial services expertise while being dedicated to achieving results. You are responsible for overseeing the squad's mission, strategy, and tactical execution to fulfill strategic priorities. Working in an agile framework, you will collaborate with other Fidelity leaders to influence strategic decisions, roadmaps, and resource needs, define the mission, and assemble a team to deliver specific product features. You will drive ongoing planning and prioritization of a product backlog to ensure alignment on tasks and timelines. Through iterative work, innovation, learning from failures, and celebrating successes, you will empower squad members. Continuous development of your own knowledge and skills is paramount.

    The Expertise and Skills You Bring

    • Owning end-to-end management of roadmap execution, aligning priorities, communicating vision, and defining an exceptional billing experience for the FMAX platform.
    • Executing Squad Leader responsibilities by translating business goals into strategies, prioritizing backlogs and sprints, establishing business processes and KPIs, and keeping partners informed of plans and progress.
    • Demonstrating an agile mindset in collaboration with Product Area Leader and peer Squad Leaders to achieve broader business goals.
    • Ensuring the platform supports scalable development and management of FMAX billing capabilities.
    • Collaborating with Chapter Leaders, Scrum Masters, Engineers, UX designers, and facilitating squad member growth and learning.
    • Advocating for new features and innovations.
    • Making well-informed decisions to balance quality, cost, and timelines.
    • Teaming up with key vendors and team members to provide integrated solutions.
    • BA / BS
    • 8+ years of experience in financial services
    • Series 99 or equivalent (or obtain within 6 months of starting)
    • A blend of technical and non-technical skills to understand the diverse needs of clients.
    • Ability to think strategically and collaborate with colleagues to develop and allocate resources for multi-year plans.
    • Focus on execution, identifying and resolving obstacles to progress.
    • Effective at leading, influencing, and motivating colleagues across various business units.
    • Promoting and enhancing an Agile work culture.
    • Preferred experience with Jira and Jira Align.
    • Understanding complex product features and translating them into clear Epics and Stories with well-defined business value and criteria.
    • Creating Product backlogs and roadmaps.
    • Cultivating continuous learning, mentoring, and coaching.
    • Strong interpersonal and influencing skills, with a proven track record of engaging with all management levels in different business areas.
    • Preferably experienced in managed accounts and investment products.
    • Knowledge of billing and accounting principles is a bonus.

    The Team

    You will collaborate with Managed Capabilities and Managed Platform Product Area Squad Leads, Other Squad Leaders, Scrum Masters, and Chapter Leaders aligned with your squad. By exemplifying and advocating for Fidelity and agile leadership behaviors, you will nurture and enhance our innovative agile culture.
