    Job Description:

    The Role

    Do you want to make a difference in our internal associates lives and be part of a highly collaborative, multi-functional team of expert engineers building the next generation of desktop functionality and workflow processing applications for the Fidelity Institutional (FI) business unit?

    We are looking for a\u00A0Principal Systems Analyst\u00A0to join our Nextgen Operations Workstation look ahead squad that will be responsible for analyzing the current systems, APIs and services to assess the feasibility of implementing technology solution. This associate will identify the system specifications and formulate the requirements. You will work closely with squad leader and business stakeholders to drive the analysis to ensure we are able to prioritize the use cases based on the business value and feasibility of implementing the solution. This role will partner with the architecture team, chapter leads, business partners, developers, and other key stakeholders.

    The Expertise and Skills You Bring

    • Bachelor s degree in Computer science or a similar engineering degree
    • 8+ years of experience in developing or analyzing technology solutions and working in an agile development team with a focus in financial/brokerage services
    • Experience in software development in an agile delivery environment and deep understanding of the application development life cycle
    • Experience analyzing existing systems, APIs, services and legacy infrastructure to document system specifications and requirements
    • Deep knowledge of scrum tools such as Jira and Jira Align
    • Experience with Structured Query Language (SQL) and API (Application Programming Interface) consumer tools such as Postman.
    • Experience with Agile development methodologies
    • Strong analytical, problem-solving skills and adapting to organizational changes
    • Ability to brainstorm with teams on solutions to address challenges and roadblocks
    • Effective communication and people-interaction skills
    • Ability to rapidly assimilate business processes, goals and objectives and distill them into well-defined User-Stories/requirements
    • Knowledge of technical solutions and back-end systems
    • You are capable of leading, influencing, motivating and mentoring juniors and colleagues without formal authority, and have a track record of building hard-working teams
    • You establish and maintain unquestioning relationships as you work collaboratively across Fidelity to deliver business outcomes and seek out the expertise of colleagues to advise on your approach
