    About Alcoholics Anonymous Founded in 1935, Alcoholics Anonymous World Services (AAWS) is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization and an international fellowship of people who have had a drinking problem.

    The Alcoholics Anonymous fellowship is nonprofessional, self-supporting, multiracial, apolitical, and available almost everywhere.

    The General Service Office (GSO) in the Morningside Heights neighborhood of New York City employs approximately 85 people (both alcoholic and non-alcoholic) and serves over 2 million members in the US and Canada.

    Our mission at the GSO is to support carrying the message of Alcoholics Anonymous to the still-suffering alcoholic by providing services to A.A.

    members, groups, and others; publishing and distributing A.A. literature, preserving A.A. history, and sharing A.A.'s collective experience. Our team is passionately mission-driven and tremendously supportive of each other as both colleagues and individuals. Job Summary The Multimedia Production Coordinator is a pivotal role responsible for supporting the production of A.A. communications multimedia projects, including public service announcements (PSAs), social media content, A.A. podcast, and other audio production and editing projects.

    The person in this role will be responsible for directing, shooting/recording, and editing multimedia content that engages and informs intended audiences and providing a full range of media production, post-production, and delivery services for high-quality projects.

    They will streamline processes and support content creation, manage multimedia files, and uphold non-profit organization compliance while containing costs and delivering high-quality content.

    Reporting to the Director of Communication Services, the Multimedia Coordinator will be a proactive member of the Communication Services team and collaborate regularly with departments across the organization.

    Core Responsibilities Meet digital production and editing project needs for GSO Staff assignments, departments, and trustees and working group committees, collaborating closely with all stakeholders to facilitate smooth communication and workflow.

    Coordinate the planning, production, and post-production process for audio and video projects, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards.

    Develop and maintain production schedules, identifying key milestones and deadlines.

    Act as liaison between internal stakeholders and vendor contacts to assist in research, selection of vendors, and contracting to secure reasonable costs for specified production processes.

    Serve as the primary contact for multimedia project vendors for production and editing.
    Work with supervisor and other relevant stakeholders to help establish and assist with management of budgets for multimedia projects. Recommend cost-saving changes to the production cycle; implementing industry best-practice processes, obtain competitive bids and support negotiation of contracts. Communicate project updates, challenges, and opportunities effectively to all relevant stakeholders, fostering a collaborative and cohesive working environment.
    Prepare regular reports for corporate boards and the A.A. General Service Conference on projects, costs, and timelines.
    Organize and maintain a comprehensive library of multimedia assets, including audio recordings, video files, file transfers, and supplementary materials.
    Troubleshoot technical issues related to file formats, compatibility, and distribution platforms as needed.

    Review and analyze activity, cost, and production processes, and keep current on distribution trends and new and emerging technologies and opportunities.

    Requirements Proven experience in project management, preferably in a multimedia production company.
    Proficiency with multimedia editing software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, Audition), Final Cut Pro, or similar tools.
    Familiarity with audio recording techniques, video production workflows, and multimedia distribution platforms.
    Strong knowledge of project pricing and the ability to gather and analyze competitive bids.
    Immersion in digital industry best-practice, creative production, and distribution. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
    Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across diverse teams and personalities.

    A passion for storytelling, with a keen interest in exploring innovative ways to engage audiences through audio and video mediums.

    Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and requirements.
    A highly collaborative working style. Mastery of current audio and video maintenance, retention, editing, and sharing technologies.


    Qualifications:

    Bachelor's degree or equivalent specialized training and work experience, with 2 to 4 years of video and audio production experience.

    Work with a nonprofit organization and tight budgetary constraints a plus. Some evening and weekend work may be required.

    Location This position is in New York City, we currently work a hybrid schedule of 3 days in office and 2 days remote with occasional additional in-office days.

    Pay & Benefits This is an exempt position with an annual pay range of $68,000 - $70,000.AAWS offers outstanding health benefits including majority employer paid medical, dental and vision and an employer-funded health reimbursement account.

    Long- and short-term disability and life insurance is provided at no cost to our employees.

    We offer generous paid time off including 3 weeks of vacation to start, 10 sick days, personal days, and paid holidays.

    Additional benefits include a 403(b) plan with up to 10% employer contribution, tuition reimbursement program, and salary continuation program, all of which are available after 12 months of employment.
