Overview:

Senior Credit Risk Program Manager WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY? This position will be responsible for evaluating and improving frameworks, procedures, and processes for timely and accurate credit risk identification, measure, monitoring, and reporting for lending units and business functions across the bank as well as providing oversight to the Collections, Recovery, and Special Situations Group, inclusive of Loss Mitigation and Problem Asset remediation. Responsibilities include assessing and monitoring the adequacy of assigned business units and functions to help ensure that established risk parameters and processes are being adhered to, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements, and credit policies of the Bank, providing assistance to the SVP of Consumer and Residential Credit Risk for all regulatory remediation and transformation work. What you will do

Evaluates and examines credit requests which exceed local authority in order to assess credit worthiness including loan quality, credit risk classification, loan structure, collateral analysis, pricing and adherence to Bank policies. Approves or declines credit requests within assigned authority. Analyzes and recommends approval/declination of credit requests which exceed assigned authority.
Reviews established credit policies and procedures and suggests and implements changes when and where appropriate. Ensures that all loans comply with established policies and procedures.
Periodically reviews the portfolios of Relationship Managers within assigned regions to ensure appropriate loan classification/risk trend. Monitors the quality of the loan portfolio and exposures. Brings concerns to the attention of the relationship manager and provides guidance in developing plans for appropriate action in order to ensure quality portfolio management.
Actively participates in evaluating all criticized and classified credits and approves action plans intended to remedy troubled credit situations. Works with relationship managers to identify alternatives to resolve problem loan situations.
Participates in Loan Review and Compliance exit reviews and ensures that corrective actions are taken to cure exceptions and to prevent reoccurrence. Reviews appropriate reports for assigned regions to monitor delinquencies, accrual exceptions, and overdrafts.
Provides support for compliance with all applicable laws, regulations and administrative duties.
Maintains a proactive commitment to established bank programs, such as CustomerFirst, Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) and Affirmative Action.
Complies fully with all bank risk management, operational and credit policies and procedures as well as all regulatory requirements (e.g., Bank Secrecy Act, Know Your Client, Community Reinvestment Act, Fair Lending Practices, City National Code of Conduct, etc.)

Must-Have*

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
Seven years of banking experience.
15 years in Commercial lending
10 experience in a credit environment

Strong analytical skills.
Strong sense of urgency and ability to meet deadlines.
Thorough knowledge of Bank business practices and ethics.
May require specialized knowledge or experience in an assigned industry.
Good negotiation skills.
Good computer skills.
Thorough knowledge of Bank credit products, policies, procedures and philosophy.
General knowledge of overall Bank products.
Strong verbal and written communication skills

Compensation Starting base salary: $175,745 - $326,377 per year. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. This job is eligible for bonus and/or commissions.
