Overview:


Cox Automotive is searching for a talented Program Manager in Austin, TX The Pogram Manager will lead a cross-functional team of Human Resources, Talent Acquisition, Training, and Engineering Operations to implement an Early Career program that supports roughly 150 new and recent college hires across the Cox Automotive Product and Technology organization and creates a dynamic new backfill and rotation program for all of the existing teams.

They will drive a successful PILOT program in the fall of 2024 and launch the program across all of CAPTG in 2025.

This is a
18-month W2 contract assignment** with the opportunity for contract extension or to transition to a permanent, full-time role based on performance and business needs.


Responsibilities:


Responsibilities of the Program Manager:

  • Independently manages projects from initiation to delivery within given constraints of scope, schedule, budget, and quality
  • Coordinates crossfunctional teams through meetings and progress measurement activity, which bring distinct, specific projects to completion on time and within budget
  • Establish and lead Core team meetings, drive and track core team participation, set agendas, document and distribute meeting minutes, assign and track action items, drive timely issue resolution, manage risks, record documentation in tools and provide executive management program updates and develop phase reviews as required. Allocates work among team members and provides guidance on a regular basis
  • Ensures all project documentation is kept up to date and communicated to the relevant stakeholders on a timely basis
  • At all times, maintain and effectively communicate the Plan of Record (POR) and current status for the assigned programs. Maintain positive working relationships with peers, managers, Directors and VPs/GMs. Develop relationships with all applicable offshore development teams. Support regional queries and develop processes where beneficial. Coach core team and extended team members when possible. Foster effective communications
  • Coach team members on process as needed to ensure understanding of, and adherence to the requirements. Ensure that your team passes any related audits
  • Supports and/or drives process improvements

Minimum Qualifications:

Qualifications of the Prgram Manager:

  • A minimum of 10+ years of experience managing cross functional teams for long term programs
  • Prefer hands on experience working with Talent Acquisition, Campus Recruiting and other similar organization development and hiring activities
  • Prefer hands on experience staffing SW Development organizations that utilize Agile Development methodologies
  • Strong leadership skills a must
  • Experience in program management including planning and senior management interface. PMP qualification and Agile Certified Professional (ACP) certifications preferred
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, and priority setting skill
  • Strong initiative and ability to work in a selfdirected environment
  • Ability to communicate clearly through oral and written communications at all organizational levels and present clear and concise information to team, internal customers, and external customers
