- Participate in all phases of organizational and management activities significant to VBA business systems.
- Develop and defend strategic plans, acquisition/investment strategies and policy for business systems development efforts.
- Work with teams of Senior Executive Service Directors, technical staffs, and groups of experts to implement business system initiatives.
- Perform project management and analysis tasks and keeps assigned activities on track at all phases. Ensures that project objectives and timelines are being met by monitoring progress against a formal plan.
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to deliver specified initiatives and develop comprehensive recommendations for projects and ensure OBI's IT projects are aligned to support the achievement of key goals in VBA.
- Coordinate with VBA business lines regarding legislative proposals and special regulatory/procedural changes needed for successful implementation of VBA's business systems vision.
- Serve as an advisor to OBI management and leadership and represent the Director in executive-level forums regarding assigned projects.
- Serve as an advisor and mentor to Program Analysts to accomplish work and establish priorities.
- Ensure timely management and delivery of quality work products and service; and ensure the organization's strategic plan, mission, vision and values are communicated and integrated into the strategies, goals, objectives, work plans, work products and services.
- Provide advice and guidance on projects, reviews completed work for junior analysts, and facilitate conflict resolution between stakeholders and team members.
- Travel at least once per quarter as required for mission essential tasks. Promotion Potential: None. The grade progression for this position starts and ends at the GS-14 level.
