New Capital Partners is adding a VP of Finance to one of our portfolio companies in the Dallas, TX area which provides Market Data and Insights to the B2B sector.

The VP of Finance is a key team member who supports the organization through typical accounting and finance functions, but given the size of our organization and back office, through various other functions as well (IT, HR, board of director reporting, etc.).

This is a unique opportunity to utilize an accounting and finance background while gaining exposure to other functions within the organization.

Additionally, the role provides exposure to working with a successful private equity firm.

Key functions of the role:
Maintain accurate accounting records (both through review and contributor functions)
Maintain operational finance metrics for leadership team and private equity owner
Maintain budget / forecast / cash flow projections
Build monthly board of directors report (in conjunction with management team)
Serve as a thought partner to management team with ideas around operational improvements, financial efficiencies and growth opportunities
Assist with annual strategic planning and budgeting process (in conjunction with management team)
Submit monthly and quarterly filings to acquisition lender
Develop ad hoc reports for private equity owner and lender, as needed
Assist with client based analytical modeling
Coordinate with CPA firm for completion of annual audit and tax filings
Monitor outstanding accounts receivable balances to ensure timely collection
Maintain organized records of customer and vendor agreements
Work with System Administration team to maintain secure IT environment
Coordinate annual health and business insurance renewals
Requirements
3+ years accounting experience, public accounting at a Big 4 or National firm preferred
Desire to work at a private equity backed company; understanding reporting requirements typically more stringent than a

non-private equity

owned private company
Desire for continual improvement – in accounting and finance and other areas of the organization
Skilled in analytical, quantitative and social skills
Strong communication skills – both verbal and written
Comfortable creating and presenting financial information to executives
Practical knowledge of month-end closing processes
Experience working with recurring revenue contracts a plus, but not required
Self-starter, ability to identify issues and resolve problems
