DESCRIPTION OF POSITION

  • Works with some supervision to support and to develop a partnership with the Vice President of Finance, Supply Chain Manager and staff. Is directly responsible and accountable to the Supply Chain Manager. Will oversee and be responsible and accountable for coordinating and directing all daytoday activities of the Distribution of Supplies, Management of the Inventory, Receiving, Inventory Purchasing and Couriers with Supply Chain Manager input as required. Responsible for scheduling of Materials Techs, Couriers and Inventory Buyers. Assist with planning, organizing and implementing short and longrange goals of the Supply Chain Department. In addition, assumes responsibility of Department in Supply Chain Manager's absence.
    QUALIFICATIONS

Professional/Educational- High School diploma or equivalent.

  • B. A. in management preferred.
  • Knowledge or training for the professional or technical group supervised.
  • Requires three (3) or more years of experience.
    Personal
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Five years of health care or business experience, at least three of which have been as a supervisor.
  • Knowledge in areas of inventory control, cycle counting, computerized inventory control, along with a basic knowledge of accounts receivable, purchasing, patient charges and accounts payable.
