    Seeking a detailed, organized Accounting Assistant to join our small but mighty Accounting team. This position is responsible for overseeing the smooth and efficient processing of accounting related information and systems of multiple properties in accordance with company standards.

    Summary:Provides administrative support to Accountants or Accounting/AP/AR departments by performing various tasks such as recording daily cash transactions, tracking and maintaining fixed assets, reconciling various credit card purchases, renewing business and vehicle licenses, preparing journal entries and assisting in other special projects.

    Essential Functions:
    • Manage cash by logging daily deposits and disbursements.
    • Maintain and monitor Home Depot and Lowes credit card purchasers.
    • Track fixed assets, book depreciation journal entries, file annual reports to various counties, and prepare tax schedules for outside accounting firm.
    • Apply or renew various city, county and state business licenses and permits.
    • Provide support to shops in the use of credit card merchant accounts, protect and keep financial information confidential.
    • Reconcile balance sheet accounts and take corrective action if needed.
    Other Functions:
    • Scan and file accounting document.
    • Track and record the use of company vehicle gas cards and cell phones.
    Education and/or Experience: Degree in Accounting or related field desirable. Ideally 2 + years of relevant experience in financial environment, but a new grad is welcome to apply Netsuite experience is preferred.
