    Joining: Global Gen AI Business Development Leader


    ServiceNow's Solution Sales team is embarked on a journey to revolutionize our go-to-market strategies, elevate customer satisfaction, and foster our unprecedented growth towards $16B.

    With ServiceNow's distinct approach to drive remarkable productivity leveraging Gen AI, we are accelerating our progress. In the midst of this rapid expansion and dynamic advancement, we are seeking Business Development Managers to seize this pivotal moment and catalyze the Gen AI business.


    As a Business Development Manager, you will be instrumental in assisting sales leadership in shaping and implementing Gen AI strategies in their operations. Your role involves launching initiatives that boost the market performance of ServiceNow's Gen AI products and collaborating closely with Major Area leaders to outline and execute Go-To-Market (GTM) priorities for Gen AI across all components of the integrated ServiceNow Platform.


    In this position, you will drive cross-functional teamwork to execute strategic projects, enhance the Gen AI expertise within the core team, and engage with key pursuits and Accounts. This role demands a seasoned professional with a blend of sales leadership, business development, strategy, and operational skills.


    The ideal candidate should combine Gen AI domain knowledge with exceptional sales execution capabilities to swiftly propel action and deliver tangible outcomes.


    Successful candidates will be self-starters with a proven track record of surpassing targets in a high-paced sales environment, particularly for emerging technologies. They must possess outstanding leadership qualities, integrity, coaching skills, executive presence, communication proficiency, and a zeal for winning collaboratively.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Develop and implement growth strategies at a regional level in collaboration with other functional leaders to amplify our Gen AI business.
    • Work closely with Major Area leaders to align priorities and business objectives. Contribute to the Gen AI forecast and pipeline management.
    • Be an active part of a dynamic global team of Gen AI BDM specialists by sharing insights and supporting colleagues.
    • Collaborate with Partner and Channel teams to establish successful models for selling Gen AI in your territory.
    • Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to provide valuable feedback that informs product strategies and decisions.
    • Mentor core teams with specialized Gen AI knowledge to identify specific solution opportunities and navigate the sales cycle.
    • Collaborate across functions to design, implement, and execute the Gen AI sales growth strategy across product workflows and sales geographies.
    • Set and drive best practices in sales, including reference accounts, demand generation, sales tactics, training, and partner engagement.
    • Act as a trusted advisor and leader within the team, serving as a prominent figure in EBCs, sales presentations, and industry events.
    • Engage directly with C-level customers to champion significant deals and ensure successful outcomes.


    To excel in this role, candidates must possess:

    • Proficiency in Gen AI sales as a Sales, SC, or Gen AI practitioner. Specialist sales experience is advantageous, with a deep understanding of Gen AI and Automation solutions.
    • Over 10 years of experience in technical sales, account management, or sales strategy roles.
    • Track record in sales within large global software companies, adept at thriving in a complex sales environment.
    • Experience in managing complex customer relationships, targeting major clients, and establishing connections at the executive level.
    • Consistent history of meeting and exceeding team targets.
    • Thorough understanding and demonstrated skills in sales techniques, customer engagement, and problem-solving.
    • Strong organizational, communication, teamwork, presentation, and time management skills.
    • Proven expertise in business development and strategic planning, collaborating with VP-level leadership.
    • Ability to navigate through complex opportunities and foster collaboration.
    • A positive attitude, strong work ethic, humility, and exceptional communication and team-building capabilities.
    • Willingness and ability to travel up to 50% of the time.


    For positions in the Seattle metro/Kirkland areas, we offer a competitive salary ranging from $183,330 to $302,470, along with equity (if applicable), incentive compensation, and comprehensive benefits.

    Our sales roles typically come with a competitive On Target Earnings (OTE) incentive structure. Please note that the base pay indicated serves as a guide, and total compensation varies based on qualifications, expertise, competencies, and location.

    We provide health plans, including flexible spending accounts, a 401(k) Plan with company match, Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP), matching donations, flexible time-off options, and family leave programs (subject to eligibility).

    Compensation is determined based on the geographical location of the role and is subject to change according to the work location.
